Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Scrubber A Hydrochloric Acid Mist Scrubbing System using water as the scrubbing medium was designed to replace an existing RTP unit requiring repairs on a periodic basis. The material of construction selected was high density polyethylene (HDPE) with a life expectancy of 20 years. A cost savings of $30,000.00 per month is realized due to the lack of caustic consumption.

Engiplast coordinated the entire project from the drawing stage, assembly for test purposes, disassembly, and shipping to the customer. Digital photographs were taken of the assembled unit. Part numbers were assigned and marked on each part. These part numbers were inserted into the digital photographs to assist in assembly at the job site. The job site construction crew stated that many man hours were saved by using this assembly manual.
